GIVE UP BEING RIGHT AND SEE THE WORLD IN YOURSELF

Happiness; Happy child happiness is a state of generalized well-being associated with feelings of pleasure, joy, and satisfaction.

Happiness does not necessarily mean freedom from suffering, stress, or negative emotions.

Instead, happiness indicates overall satisfaction and a tendency to view one’s life as good, meaningful, and fulfilled. Some criteria common to many definitions of happiness include: Feeling satisfied with the direction one’s life is going. Holding oneself in high regard and being forgiving of your mistakes and shortcomings.

Finding satisfaction in simple pleasures and relationships. Having several areas of fulfillment in life. Having an optimistic disposition and tending to see the glass as half full. Viewing setbacks as opportunities for growth.

HAPPINESS: GIVE UP BEING RIGHT,

An enormous amount of energy becomes available once you give up the need to be right. Being right implies that someone else must be wrong. All relationships are damaged by a confrontation between right and wrong.

The result is great suffering and conflict in the world. To give up the need to be right doesn’t mean that you don’t have a point of view. But you can give up your need to defend your point of view. In a state of defenselessness, we find invincibility, because there is no longer anything to attack. We are all a single consciousness with unique ways of experiencing the world.

FOCUS ON THE PRESENT

If you focus on the present, your life will be constantly renewed. The present moment is the only time that is eternal. It never dies, nor can it be forgotten. Therefore, happiness in the present can never be taken away from you. It will free you from the snare of time, which brings about suffering through thought, evaluation, and analysis. Being fully in the present, you experience the timeless. In the timeless, you find your true self.

There will never be any more perfection than there is now. —from “Song of Myself,” Walt Whitman

SEE THE WORLD IN YOURSELF

When you see the world in yourself, there are no more outward obstacles to happiness. The inner and outer worlds are mirrors of each other. They change according to your level of consciousness. If you are vibrating at the level of fear, your inner world of thoughts and emotions and your outer world of events and relationships will reflect that. Similarly, if your consciousness vibrates at the level of love, then love will be present in both your inner and outer worlds. A flow of happiness and abundance will manifest when you have reached the deepest level of yourself.

In oneself lies the whole world, and if you know how to look and learn, the door is there and the key is in your hand.                                 —J. Krishnamurti

I am the light that makes experience possible. I am the reality that is hidden in all beings. —Yoga Vasishtha
